General
Padel is a racket sport played like a combination of tennis and squash. It is usually played in pairs on a 10x20 metre glass-walled court. The ball is similar to a tennis ball but with slightly less pressure. The serve is made from below and the racket is used to pass the ball to the opposite court. The walls are part of the game; strategic moves can be made by bouncing the ball off the wall.
Padel is played on a smaller court than tennis, and the game includes walls. The rackets are not stringed, but have a solid surface. Padel is served from below and the game is usually in a doubles format, making it a more social experience than tennis. Padel also requires less physical strength and is easier for beginners to learn.
